BIRTH CERTIFICATES
Our office is able to issue certified copies of Birth Records for Texas births only. We offer Abstract Birth Records for births occuring outside of Swisher County, and Long Form Birth Records for births occuring in Swisher County. Only properly qualified applicants will be issued a birth certificate with proper application, ID, and fees.
DEATH CERTIFICATES
Death records are filed in the county where the decedent passed away, not where they resided. A death certificate is only available for purchase with that county or the Bureau of Vital Statistics in Austin. You must be a qualified applicant to receive a certified copy of a death certificate.
MARRIAGE LICENSE
We issue, record, and index Marriage License, as well as Declarations of Informal Marriage.

Did you know...the very first Marriage License issued and recorded in Swisher county dates back to August 16, 1890.
BRANDS
Brands are filed with the County Clerk and submitted to the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association.
Marks and Brands are good for 10 years and everyone has
to renew their brands at the same time.
